Wilma Maxine Groomer, 96 of Solsberry passed away Sunday February 23, 2020 at Stone Croft Health Campus in Bloomington.

Born April 14, 1923 in Indianapolis, Indiana the daughter of Wade E. Jones and Mary (Burch) Waggoner.

Wilma worked Sarkes Tarzian for seventeen years, she loved to garden and can food from the garden, she especially loved her family. She attended the Pleasant Ridge Church.

Surviving relatives include her three daughters, Carol (Tracy) Ferguson of Switz City, Mary Alice (Pete) Davis and Nancie Lloyd all of Solsberry, her grandchildren, Roger Leon (Renee) Arthur, Lisa Gayle (John) Abel, J.R. (Sherri) Davis, Dallas Todd Parsley, Jackie S. (Marci) Parsley, Amanda (Seth) Staggs, her great-great grandchildren, Sabrina Spurlin, Nickie Arthur, Terence Arthur, Kayle Barnett, Emily Arthur, Jackie Lee Arthur, Dusty Arthur, Ashley Meek, Peyton Maxwell Davis, Olivia Sarchet, Jarrod James, Dylan Parsley, Abigael Lynn Parsley, Alexandria Leigh Parsley, Mollie Adelyne Parsley, several great great grandchildren, she has one sister Alice Polley of Bloomfield.

Wilma was preceded in death by her husband Curtis Groomer on November 24, 2008; five siblings, three great grandchildren, one son-in-law Bill Lloyd and her parents.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 P.M. on Wednesday and 11 A.M. Thursday until the hour of service at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield.

Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Brother Eugene Helms and J.R. Davis officiating. Burial will follow at Ridgeport Cemetery.
