Obituary

Wilma R. Floyd, 90, of Bloomfield, passed away 12:20 p.m. Monday, September 22, 2008 at Lyons Health and Living Center.
Born June 26, 1918 in Linton, she was the daughter of James Byron and Hersel Marie (Carpenter) Pickett.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Furnace Christian Church and the Furnace Ladies Aid.
Surviving relatives include: one daughter, Susan Jo Holtsclaw (Loren) of Bloomfield; three sons, Stephen Charles Floyd (SuYong) of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Jerry Morton Floyd, Sr. (Rose) of Glen Allen, Virginia, and Darwin Elsworth Floyd of New Richmond; nine grandchildren and several great, grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles M. Floyd on September 24, 1989, parents, two infant brothers, one great, grandchild, and her stepmother, Martha Pickett.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 26, 2008 at Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home in Bloomfield, with Rev. Billy Ed Hostettler officiating. Interment will be in Walnut Grove cemetery in rural Bloomfield.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and 1 hour prior to services Friday at the funeral home.
