Willie Johnston Lardizabal, 95, of Bloomfield passed away Friday December 25, 2020 at her residence surrounded by her family.

Born November 4, 1925 in Manila, Philippines the daughter of Mont and Rita (Aspacio) Johnston.

Willie came to the United States from the Philippines and went to Washington University St Louis and graduated with a Degree in Nursing in 1952.

She married Jose M. Lardizabal November 4, 1956 in St. Louis Mo.

Willie was a Registered Nurse, she worked at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, she was a member of the Holy Name Catholic Church in Bloomfield, the Red Cross Outreach and the Psi Iota Xi.

Surviving relatives include her children, Jose R. Lardizabal, Rita A. Lardizabal, and Patricia (Keith) Graves, she has two grandchildren, Jennifer K. Duckworth, Vanessa R. Lardizabal, and two great grandchildren, Estelle Duckworth and Grant Duckworth.
Also surviving is niece Thelma (John) Martin.

Willie was preceded in death by her husband Dr. Jose M. Lardizabal on January 8, 2006 and her parents.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday at Grandview Cemetery in Bloomfield with Father Simon officiating.

The family wishes any memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society or the Holy Name Catholic Church in Bloomfield.
