Willie Vance Boydston, 76, of Solsberry passed away Sunday January 19, 2014 at IU Health Bloomington Hospital.
Born July 5, 1937 in Allison, Texas the son of Willie and Opal (Brown) Boydston.
Vance was the Post Master in Allison Texas for 38 years, he was retired. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of the American Legion and United Pentecostal Church.
Surviving relatives include his wife Carol Boydston of Solsberry, his sons, Kevin Vance (Theda) Boydston of Beggs, Oklahoma, Michael (Joanna) Cazee of Moore, Oklahoma, Kyle David Boydston of Clovis, New Mexico, his daughters, Linda Dzelme of Indianapolis, Marsha (David) Snizek of San Diego California and Melissa (Michael Yong of Temecula, California. He has several grandchildren and great grandchildren, his mother Opal Boydston of Allison, Texas, two brothers and one sister.
He was preceded in death by his father and one brother.
Friends may call from 1 to 3 P.M. on Friday at Word of Life Church and services will be held at 3:00 P.M. at the Church with Pastor Eugene Helms and Pastor Jerry Gholson and Donna Hendricks officiating. Burial will be in Texas at a later date.
