William Chris Carnegie 60, of Bloomington, passed away Thursday December 8, 2005 at 12:26 p.m. at Bloomington Hospital.
Born March 20, 1945 in Greene County, he was the son of Van and Mabel (Ammer) Carnegie.
He worked on the electronics switching system for the central office of Ameritech in Bloomington. He was a member of the St. Paul United Methodist Church in Highland Village in Bloomington. He was a member of the Stanford Masonic Lodge # 173.
Survivors include: his wife, Carol (McElroy) Carnegie of Bloomington; three children, Lisa Alexander and her husband John, Chris and his wife Corrie Carnegie, and Scott and Stephanie Carnegie all of Bloomington; nine grandchildren, Amanda, Katie, John, Nicholas and Molly Alexander, Bailey, Laura, Taylor, and Abby Carnegie; one brother, Andy and his wife Donna Carnegie of Bloomington; one sister-in-law, Joellen Allen Burton and her husband Ron of Washington, Illinois; one brother-in-law, Jim McElroy of Bloomington; and his Mother-in-law, Ellen McElroy of Bloomington.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Larry Vance Carnegie, one niece, Amanda Abel, Father-in-Law, Herbert McElroy, and one Brother-in-Law Norman Roger Allen.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday December 12, 2005 at St. Paul United Methodist Church in Highland Village in Bloomington with Pastor Frank VanAllen and Pastor Dennis Laffoon officiating. Burial will be in Dutch Cemetery in rural Bloomfield.
Public visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home Bloomfield, Indiana and 1 hour prior to services Monday at the church.
