Wilbert "Bill" Ricketts, 81 of Bloomfield passed away on Friday May 9, 2008 at Select Specialty Hospital (St. Frances Hospital) in Beech Grove.
Born September 28, 1926 in Columbus, Indiana, he was the son of Wilbert F. and Ruby (Knight) Ricketts.
He was retired from Indianapolis Union Railway Company.
Surviving relatives include: his wife, Shirley Ricketts of Bloomfield; five children, James L. Ricketts (Dixie)of Greenwood, Susie Christian (Steve)of Pittsboro, David F. Ricketts (Phyllis)of Martinsville, Juanita M. Fields (Bob)of Bloomfield, and Bill A. Ricketts (Tammy Maddox) of Bedford; seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; two sisters, Idella McRae of Florida, and Gloria Meyer of Poland, Indiana.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be conducted at Noon on Monday, May 12, 2008, at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Rev. Arlen Pope officiating. Burial will be at Walnut Grove Cemetery, Bloomfield, Indiana.
