Wayne W. Dunkerly, 87, of Oaktown, Indiana passed away Sunday May 3, 2015 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes.

Born February 4, 1928 in Oaktown, Indiana the son of Miles and Helen (Ritterskamp) Dunkerly.

Wayne married Vera Lucille Berger on August 6, 1950 at the Bethel Church, they were married 64 1/2 years. He was a member of the Bethel Church where he was confirmed in 1942, he served on the North Knox School Board, life member of the Farm Bureau, member of the KCARC Board and the Freelandville Housing Authority. Wayne was a farmer.

Surviving relatives include his children, Pam (Mike) Loheider of Edwardsport, Paul (Nancee) Dunkerly of Linton, his grandchildren, Christopher (Carrie) Loheider of Bicknell, Amy (Paul) Farmer of Henryville, Brett (Kristen) Dunkerly of Linton, Drew Dunkerly of Carmel and Caleb (Ashlea) Dunkerly of Bloomfield, his great grandchildren, Coby Loheider, Carson Loheider, Braxton Farmer, Aubrey Farmer, Kaylee Dunkerly, Emilee Dunkerly and Blake Dunkerly, two sisters, Lois Bosecker of Vincennes, Linda Woods of Bicknell, two sister-in-laws, Waneta Dunkerly of Carmel and Sharon Dunkerly of Freelandville.

Wayne was preceded in death by his wife Vera Lucille Dunkerly on December 28, 2014, two brothers, Don Dunkerly, Gordon Dunkerly and his parents.

Friends may call from 4 to 7 P.M. on Tuesday at the Bethel Church, 13673 East Street Road 58, Edwardsport, In, 47528.

Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday at the Bethel Church with Pastor Mike DeCoursey officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel Church Cemetery.
