Wanda Lee Cone, 79, of Lyons passed away at 11:30 A.M. on Wednesday February 16, 2011 at her residence.
Born September 8, 1931 in Jenkins, Kentucky the daughter of Elmer and Dorothy (Hall) Holbrook.
Wanda was retired from NSWC Crane as a Budget Clerk, she was a member of the Lyons United Methodist Church.
Surviving relatives include her children George N. Cone (Diane) of LaMirada, California and Joyce R. Wakefield of Linton, Indiana. Her grandchildren D'Lee D. Carpenter (Eric) of Linton, Indiana; Steven J. Wakefield of Terre Haute, Indiana and Philip G. Cone of LaMirada, California and April Lowe of LaMirada, California; her great grandchildren Whitney D. Carpenter and Dalton E. Carpenter both of Linton, Indiana and one sister LaCreta Miller (Ralph) of Jenkins, Kentucky.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband George Frederick Cone on April 2, 1976 and one brother Norris Holbrook.
Friends may call from 1:30 until the hour of service Saturday February 19, 2011 at Jenkins Funeral Home in Lyons.
Services will be at 2:30 P.M. on Saturday February 19, 2011 at Jenkins Funeral Home in Lyons with Rev. Don Reed and Rev. Rose Sparks officiating. Burial will follow at Prairie Chapel Cemetery in Lyons.
