Victor "Joe" Goodwin, 88, of Lyons, Indiana passed away Thursday April 25, 2013 at the Glenburn Home in Linton.
Joe was born on April 25, 1925 in Plainville, Indiana the son of Guy and Nancy (Nowling) Goodwin.
He was a railroad engineer, working for Pennsylvania railroad and Peabody, he was retired. Joe was a WWII Army veteran, a member of the Switz City Full Gospel Church and one of the founding members of the Lyons American Legion. He married Marlene Strosnider on October 8, 1950 and they where married for Sixty Two years.
Surviving relatives include his wife Marlene Goodwin of Lyons, one daughter, Vicki Campbell of Wilmington, Ohio, two grandchildren, Danna (Matt) Clayton of Cincinnati, Ohio and Darby (Casey Gray) Hodges of Lyons, two great grandchildren, Kali Hodges of Lyons and Rowan Clayton of Cincinnati, Ohio, he has several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Joe was preceded in death by his Parents, one son, Casey Goodwin, one grandson, David Ryan Hodges and one brother Max Goodwin.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 P.M. on Saturday and 12 P.M. Sunday until the hour of service at Jenkins Funeral Home in Lyons.
Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday at Jenkins Funeral Home in Lyons with Rev. Vernon Thompson officiating. Burial will follow at Prairie Chapel Cemetery in Lyons.
