Verlin R. Pearson 69, of Bloomfield, passed away Friday September 30, 2005 at 11:47 p.m. at Bloomington Hospital.
Born December 22, 1935 in Greene County, he was the son of John M. and Hattie (Williams) Pearson.
He was a self employed contractor for Pearson & Sons Construction in Bloomfield. He was a member of the Switz City Full Gospel Church.
Survivors include: his wife, Betty L. (Jones) Pearson of Bloomfield; three sons, Rick Pearson of Nashville, Tennessee, Jeff Pearson of Elnora, and Steve Pearson of Bloomfield; five sisters, Louise Hardisty of Lyons, Jewie Auberry of Bicknell, Linda Collier of Bloomington, Bessie Mathena of Linton, and Ellen Rose Hudson of Edmonton, Kentucky; three brothers, Jackie David Pearson of Arcadia, Bennnie Albert Pearson of Indianapolis, and Wayne Pearson of Indianapolis; five grandchildren, Alicia Beth, Chelsea, Chase, Kyle, and Ryan; one great grandchild, Evan.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Henry and Georgie Pearson, three sisters, Melvina Whaley, Carrie Pearson, and Lillian Ellett.
Services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 3, 2005 at Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home Bloomfield, Indiana with Rev. Sam Hill officiating. Burial will be in Grandview cemetery.
Friends may call from 4-8 Sunday and from 12 Noon until the hour of services on Monday at the Funeral home.
