Uland H. "Red" Jackson, 92, of Bloomfield passed away at 7:17 P.M. at Bloomington Hospital on Thursday November 23, 2006.
Born October 3, 1914 in Owensburg he was the son of Hester & Lelia (Wright) Jackson.
He worked at Crane for 35 years in Boiler Maintenance. He was retired. He was a member of the Little Cincinnati Christian Church, the Masonic Lodge & American Legion both in Solsberry. He was an Army Veteran of WWII.
Survivers include his wife Marjorie (Hash) Jackson of Bloomfield, 3 sons Rodney & his wife Julie Jackson of Linton, Garry & his wife Debbie Jackson of Bloomfield, Allen & his wife Vicky Jackson of Solsberry. 7 Grandchildren Shawn Jackson of Utah, Kimberly Barns of Linton, Tonya Brewer of Linton, Jana Waggner of Lyons, Leslie Pope of Bloomfield, Lacey & Michelle Jackson both of Solsberry. 7 Great Grandchildren, 3 Brothers Dale Jackson of Boswell, Fred Jackson of Virginia Beach, Virginia., Logan Jackson of Parker, Arizona. 1 Sister Ruth Spoonmore of Bedford.
He was preceded in Death by his 1st wife Ione (Spoonmore) Jackson, 1 Grandson Alex Jackson & his parents.
Friends mat call from 4 P.M. to 8 P.M. on Sunday November 26, 2006 at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield & 9:30 A.M. till the hour Monday. There will be a Masconic Lodge service at 7 P.M. Sunday evening at the Funeral Home.
Services will be at 10:30 A.M. Monday November 27, 2006 at Jenkins Funeral Home with Rev. Glen Stidd officiating. Burial will be at Grandview Cemetery in Bloomfield. Solsberry American Legion will have Military Graveside Services.
