Sharon Elizabeth Vaught, 87, of Bloomfield, passed away on Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at IU Hospice House in Bloomington.

Born October 13, 1935 in Bedford, she was the daughter of Oliver and Margaret (Shaffe) McGuire.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Bloomfield First Christian Church. She was active in the church choir, Shawnee Theatre and the March of Dimes.

Surviving relatives include: her husband of 68 years, Ralph "Boomie" Vaught; her children, G. Michael Vaught (Roberta), Steven Edward Vaught, Karen Harp (Steve), William Joseph Vaught (Christine), James Andrew Vaught (Dana) and Patrick Dean Vaught; siblings, Charles McGuire and Mary McGuire Lee; twelve grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by a son, Jerry Lee Vaught, granddaughter, Phylicia Michelle Vaught, great granddaughter, Everly Kate Montgomery, siblings, Barbara Goodin and David McGuire and her parents.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at the Bloomfield First Christian Church, with Scott Chastain officiating. Interment will be in Beech Grove cemetery in Bedford.

Public visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Monday and 1hour prior to services on Tuesday at the Bloomfield First Christian Church. Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield is in charge of arrangements.

The family asks that all memorial contributions be made to the Bloomfield First Christian Church.
