Sean Kyle Bays, 56, of Bloomfield, Indiana, flew home to be with the Lord on Friday October 11, 2024.
Sean was an accomplished Drummer who played with several bands throughout Indiana in his early years. He loved sky diving, flying and motorcycle riding, both dirt and highway. He worked as a skilled trade worker and was an integral part of the Bloomington Square renovation project. He also went to school in Harvey, Louisiana, and trained as a welder. He then worked for Trinity Marine Group in New Orleans, Louisiana before deciding to return home to Bloomfield, Indiana. He then worked for Otis Elevator and several trucking companies, hauling materials to build the French Lick Casino, the New Bloomington Hospital, and several other large projects within the state.
He is survived by his father Ricky Kyle Bays, mother, Marylin (Bays) Hutchinson and his sister, Betina (Bays) Yurkus; along with his 3 children Shawnda (Bays) Hunter, Devin Bays, Kyla Lachat and 7 grandchildren as well as many family members and friends.
Sean Bays lost his long, hard-fought battle with bladder cancer and his final wishes were for donations to be made (in lieu of flowers) to IU Simon Comprehensive Cancer Center in Indianapolis, Indiana at the following link:

Funeral services will be held at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield, Indiana at 2:00 pm on Saturday October 19, 2024 with Scott Chastain officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm on Saturday with a funeral procession to follow to Walnut Grove Cemetery.
