Sanna Marceil Ammer, 85, went to be with her Lord, Tuesday, November 25, 2008 at a private residence. She was born July 24, 1923 to proud parents, Edwin and Leona (Byers) Hostettler in Greene County. She married her childhood sweetheart, Gib Ammer November 15, 1942. She retired in 1988 from Bloomfield State Bank where she was the manager of the Newberry Branch for 32 years. She was a faithful member of the Scotland Full Gospel Church, where her word of faith touched many people.
Her life is celebrated by those surviving her. One sister, Leoka Sue "Dumpy" Manis, a daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Carl Lynn of Mitchell; six grandchildren, Ed & Tracy Medina of Puducah, Kentucky, Tom & Debbie Medina of Puducah, Kentucky, Jamie & Matt Shell of Mitchell, Marcy Medina of Mitchell, Brian Lynn of Mitchell, Joe & Jenny Medina of Bloomfield; fifteen great grandchildren, Khristan, Jake, Courtney, Chelsea, Caleb, Megan, Cole, Cody, Derek, Lucas, Sydnee, Jaysce, Graysen, Morgan and Owen.
She will join her heavenly family of loved ones, both her parents, her husband, Gib, daugher, Sherry, son-in-law Tom Medina and niece Tony Dee Moore, where they will sing heavenly praises.
She will be remembered here on earth for her compassion for people, her words of wisdom and her unwavering faith in God. Her favorite "hobby" in life was her children and grandchildren and great grandchildren who will miss her greatly.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, November 29, 2008 and from noon until the hour of service on Sunday, November 30, 2008, at Jenkins Funeral Home, Bloomfield, Indiana.
Funeral Service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, November 30, 2008 at Jenkins Funeral Home, Bloomfield, with Rev. Billy Ed Hostettler Officiating. Burial will follow at Scotland Cemetery.
