Ruth Maxine (Wisley) Workman 91, of Bloomfield, passed away at 1:57 p.m. on Thursday, October 8, 2015 at Daviess Community Hospital.
Born May 21, 1924 in Monroe County, she was the daughter of Warren Ray and Clara Jane (McCammon) Wisley.
She retired as office manager for Dr. Turner in Bloomfield. She was a member of the Bloomfield First Presbyterian Church and a former member of the Bloomfield Order of Eastern Star and Psi Iota Xi soroity.
Surviving relatives include: two daughters, Myrna Workman Hall (Terry) of Jasper and Ann Workman Armstrong (Stan) of Springville; one sister, Irma Wisley Creek of Liberty; five grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and many special friends from the Presbyterian Church and the Amish Community.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Dale Workman on September 25, 2003, her parents, three brothers, Charles Freeman Wisley, Oral Ray Wisley and Wendell Earl Wisley; two sisters, Mary Wisley Wilber and Wilma Wisley Heuchan, special friends, Palmer and Arvada Rader, Bill Lucas, Alton and Celia Graves and Richard and Lelia Lindsey.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 12, 2015 at the Bloomfield First Presbyterian Church, with Pastor Tim Jessen and John Wagler officiating. Interment will follow in Grandview cemetery in Bloomfield.
Public visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Sunday and 1 hour prior to services on Monday at the Bloomfield First Prebyterian Church.
The family asks that all memorial contributions be made to the Bloomfield First Presbyterian Church.
