Ruth E. Sparks, 89, of Solsberry, passed away on Friday, February 28, 2025 at her residence.

Born September 11, 1936 in Greene County, she was the daughter of James Fredrick and Ava (Bland) Lindsey.

Ruth was a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother and a beloved friend who would help anyone. Ruth's greatest joy came from going to the beach, gardening, bowling, and spending the afternoon in the kitchen with daughter and granddaughters making her famous apple pies.

Carrying on Ruth's legacy includes daughter Rhea Sparks Lawrence (Brad) of Bloomington; her grandchildren, David Lawrence, Lindsey Lawrence, and Lydia Lawrence; her great grandson, Dallas; her brother, Jerry Lindsey, sister Janice Lee, and several nieces and nephews.

She was proceeded in death by her husband Ivan Sparks, Son, David Sparks, brother, Benny Lindsey and parents.

Visitation will be held from 11 A.M. on Tuesday March 4, 2025 until the hour of service at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield.

Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday March 4, 2025 at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Rev. Rob Martindale officiating. Burial will follow at Greene County Chapel Cemetery.

The family ask any memorial donations in Ruth's name be given to Greene County Chapel Cemetery.
