Obituary

Russell Julian Huffman 74, of Mineral City, passed away at 1:23 p.m. Friday, June 4, 2010 at Greene County General Hospital.
Born December 2, 1935 in Mineral City, he was the son of Russell and Gretchen (Letsinger) Huffman.
He was a 1953 graduate of Bloomfield High School and a 1957 graduate of Purdue University. He was retired as a school teacher and from INDOT. He was a member of the Mineral United Methodist Church and the Purdue Ag Alumni.
Surviving relatives include: his wife, Sandy whom he married August 10, 1969; two daughters, Juli Huffman of Noblesville and Jodi Dunigan (Leon) of Worthington; one son, A.J. Huffman of Bloomfield; granddaughters, Darian and Greta Dunigan both of Worthington and Natasha Dunigan; Foster daughters, Mariah Morgan, Heisy and Abi Morales; one sister, Sue Gallaher (Mike) of Mansfield, Texas; one brother, Leonard Huffman of Martinsville; brothers-in-law, Artie Potts (Jan) of Huntingburg and Jay Potts (Terri Sue) of Walkerton; sister-in-law, Polly Lawyer (Steve) of Elnora; Aunts, Ellen Emminger (Norman) of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Hilda Nickles (Larry) of Greenwood, South Carolina; one uncle, James Letsinger (Elizabeth) of Mineral City; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Gretchen (Letsinger) Huffman and his Father and Mother-in-law, Clifford and Phyllis (Myers) Potts.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 9, 2010 at Mineral United Methodist Church, with Rev. Blake Lawyer and Rev. Steve Eads officiating. Interment willl follow in Walnut Grove cemetery in rural Bloomfield.
Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home in Bloomfield and 1 hour prior to services Wednesday at the church.
The family asks that all memorial contributions be made to the Purdue Ag Alumni Association or Greene County 4-H.
