Obituary

Rowena Mae (Sherrow) Campbell, 94, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday morning, Feb 16, 2025.
Born on December 17, 1930 to Wayne and Marthena (Yoho) Sherrow. Rowena was 13 years old when her mother passed away and left her father with 5 small children to which she took on the role of their mother. She married the love of her life, Floyd "Dick" Campbell, on August 23, 1947 and was happily married for 67 years before he went to be with the Lord on September 12, 2014.
A true woman of God who loved to pray and believed in the power of it. She was a lifelong member of Solsberry Community Church where she blessed everyone with her love of music and beautiful voice. She was the most amazing wife, sister, aunt, and friend. Even though she worked outside the home early in her life, her main focus was being a homemaker. She enjoyed cooking, taking care of her home. and hosting gatherings with family and friends.
She loved and cared for her nieces and nephews as if they were her own. Her nurturing heart extended beyond bloodlines as she was a mother figure to many.
In Rowena's own words, "I love all my family and so thankful for all they do for me. Just take me to the graveyard and put me beside my sweetheart. We'll be together in heaven."
Surviving relatives include: her sister, Maxine Hayes, whom she lived with, sister-in-law's Vera Sherrow and Mary Ruth Hostettler, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, step-mother, one sister (Jeannetta Neidigh), three brothers (Dewayne, Dickie, and Jerry Sherrow), and one nephew Doug Hayes.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1pm on Friday, February 21st at Solsberry Community Church with Pastors Matthew Whitacre and Robert Martindale officiating. Interment will follow at Solsberry Cemetery.
Public visitation will be held on Friday, February 21st from 10am to 1pm at Solsberry Community Church. Jenkins and Sons Funeral Home in Bloomfield are in charge of arrangements.
