Robert "Popeye" Wright, 81, of Brazil Indiana passed away on Monday February 12, 2007 at St. Vincent Clay Hospital in Brazil Indiana.
Born April 20, 1925 in Switz City Indiana he was the son of Robert Sampson & Lillie Mae (Johnson) Wright.
He retired in 1975 as an Ordnance worker at Crane NWSC, he retired from the United States Army on April 20, 1985. He was a life member of the VFW in Worthington, Indiana.
Survivers include his wife Mary Lou (Hill) Wright of Brazil, Indiana; 2 Daughters Karen Elaine Basey of Indianapolis, Indiana & Kathy Elaine Lambert of Dunedin, Florida; 1 Son Randall Griffith of Brazil, Indiana; 3 Grandchildren Dawn (Mark) Smith of Indianapolis, Indiana & Corey & Casey Lambert of Dunedin, Florida; 1 Great Grandson Mark Smith Jr. of Indianapolis, Indiana; 1 Sister Thira Frye of Switz City, Indiana; Several Nieces & Nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, & 2 sisters.
Friends may call from 4 P.M. to 8 P.M. Thursday February 15, 2007 at the SWITZ CITY FULL GOSPIL CHURCH in Switz City, In.; and 10 A.M. till the hour Friday at the Church.
Services will be at 11:00 A.M. on Friday February 16, 2007 at the Switz City Full Gospil Church in Switz City with Rev. Sam Hill officiating. Burial will follow at Switz City Cemetery with a military graveside service.
