Robert Lee Warnick, Sr., 87, of Bloomfield, passed away Wednesday November 18, 2015 at IU Health Bloomington Hospital.
Born May 15, 1928 in Bloomfield, Indiana the son of John and Alice (Sizemore) Warnick.
Robert was the owner and operator of Warnick's Body Shop, he was a pilot and had built several planes, an avid fisherman, hunter and trapper and loved woodworking. He was a member of the Antioch Christian Church, Bloomfield Lions Club, he was a firefighter for 16 years, one of the founding members of the Shawnee Airport, served on the Bloomfield Town Board, Eastern Heights Board, Bloomfield Park Board and Bloomfield Housing Authority.
Surviving relatives include his wife Wanda Warnick whom he married on November 26, 1949, his children, Chrystal (Jim) Sparks of Sullivan, Cheryl (Dennis) Crites of Bloomfield, Bob (Annette) Warnick, Jr. of Bedford, Jim (Angela) Warnick of Bloomington and Brian (Michelle) Warnick of Bloomfield, his nine grandchildren, Angel, Susan, Sara, Rikki, Nathaniel, Austin, Olivia, Ella and Dillon, he had six great grandchildren, Hannah, Cara, Bracie, Cassie, Ally and Dixon, and one brother Larry (Sandy) Warnick of Bloomfield.
He was preceded in death by one sister Elizabeth and his parents.
Friends may call from 10:00 A.M. on Saturday until the hour of service at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield.
Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Rev. Arlen Pope officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview Cemetery.
