Robert H. Johnson, 77, of Elnora, passed away at 11:55 a.m. on Sunday, June 14, 2020 at East gate Manor in Washington.

Born May 16, 1943 in Louisville, Kentucky, he was the son of Ivory Johnson and Lillian (Logsdon) Higdon.

Robert served his country with the United States Army in Vietnam. He was a recruiter for the National Guard and was later a tool crib attendant for RCA where he retired. He was a lifetime member of the Odon VFW and American Legion.

Surviving relatives include: his wife, Joyce (Hatfield) Johnson of Elnora; one son, Robert Johnson Jr. (Darlene) of Tennyson, Indiana; one daughter, Debra Myers (Lanny) of Springville; his stepchildren, Denice Goolsby, Richard Douthitt, Diane Nicholson, Rocky Escobedo, Joe Escobedo, Carlos Escobedo and Rick Escobedo; six grandchildren, several step grandchildren, several great grandchildren and step great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Ivory Johnson Jr. and William Johnson, one sister, Donna Cummings and his parents.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 19, 2020 at Prairie Chapel Cemetery in rural Lyons. Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield is in charge of arrangements.
