Robert J. "Bob" Long, 70, of Bloomfield passed away at 7:55 P.M. on April 20, 2006 at Greene County General Hospital in Linton.
Born October 16, 1935 in Greene County he was the son of Ray D. & Nellie (Hill) Long.
He was a self Employed in the trucking business, he was retired. He was a member of the Bloomfield American Legion Post # 196, & the Odd Fellows in Bloomfield. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War.
Survivers include his wife Dianna (Bucher) Long who he married on February 22, 1958. 1 Son Robert Darren Long & his wife Amy of Terre Haute, Indiana. 1 Daughter Shawna Jane Long of Bloomfield. 2 Grandchildren Hannah Louise, & Noah Vernon Long both of Terre Haute. 1 Brother Eddie D. Long of Newberry, In.
He was preceded in death by 1 infant daughter Lisa Monique Long on September 5, 1960. His parents, 2 Brothers Donald, & Marvin Long, & his mother & father-in-law Vernon & Kathryn Bucher.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday April 23, 2006 at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield with the Rev. Billy Ed Hostettler & Rev. Arlen Pope officiating. Burial will be at Antioch Cemetery in Bloomfield.
Friends may call from 4 P.M. to 8 P.M. Saturday April 22, 2006 At the Funeral Home.
