Robert Lee "Bob" Brookshire, 67, of Linton passed away Thursday March 30, 2017 at his residence.

Born February 19, 1950 in Linton, Indiana the son of William "Wimpy" and Marjorie (Malone) Brookshire.

Bob was the Water Plant Manager at Crane, he was a member of the Newberry Volunteer Fire Department, he had been the head of the Newberry water treatment plant, he was a member of the Newberry Masonic Lodge and The Order of Eastern Star and the Lyons American Legion. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War.

Surviving relatives include his wife Sharleen Brookshire of Linton, two children, Jeff (Angie) Brookshire of Loogootee, Jennifer (Ray) Murdock of Sandborn, four grandchildren, Ashley, Cody, Emily and Lilly, three step grandchildren, Cameron, Luke and Katie, he has six great grandchildren, one brother, Donnie (Diana) Brookshire, one sister, Debbie Fish and his mother Marjorie Brookshire all of Newberry.

Bob was preceded in death by his father William "Wimpy" Brookshire.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 P.M. on Tuesday and 12 Noon Wednesday until the hour of service all at the Newberry United Methodist Church. Newberry Masonic Lodge will have Masonic service Tuesday evening at the Church.

Services will be held at 1:30 P.M. on Wednesday at the Newberry United Methodist Church with Pastor Peggy Haywood officiating. Burial will follow at Prairie Chapel Cemetery.

The family wishes any donations be made to the Lyons American Legion Memorial Fund in Bob's name.
