Ricky Lee Vandeventer, 46, of Bloomfield passed away at 8:55 P.M. on Thursday June 27, 2007 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, In.
Born August 18, 1960 at Greene County General Hospital in Linton he was the son of Reed & Ruby (Heaton) Vandeventer.
He worked at Whites Grocery Store in Bloomfield for several years. He then went to work for K-Mart, & Kroger's both in Bloomington, after that he went to the IGA in Ellettsville before coming back to the Bloomfield IGA. He was Santa's helper around Christmas for several years. He was a member of the Bloomfield Jaycee's and the Word of Life Fellowship Church in Bloomfield.
Surviving Relatives include his mother Ruby Vandeventer of Bloomfield. 2 sisters Edna Minks, & Mabel Keller both of Bloomfield. 1 brother Bob Vandeventer of Bloomfield. His girl friend Leah Swan of Bloomfield and several Nieces & Nephews.
He was preceded in death by his Father Reed E. Vandeventer, 1 brother Larry Vandeventer and 1 brother-in-law Gene Minks
Friends may call from 4 P.M. to 8 P.M. on Friday June 29, 2007 at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield, and 9 A.M. till the hour at the Church.
Services will be at 10:00 A.M. at the Word of Life Fellowship Church in Bloomfield with Pastor Eugene Helms officiating. Burial will follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Bloomfield.
The family wishes all donations be made to the Word of Life Fellowship Church in care of Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield.
