Obituary

Richard L. "Dick" Colvin, age 90, of Solsberry, IN. passed away August 6, 2025. Dick was born on June 25, 1935, to Wells O. Colvin and Eva M. (Comer) Colvin in Miamisburg, OH. He attended Waynesville Grade School and Miamisburg High School.

Dick married the love of his life, Rohenia F. (Fredrick) Colvin on August 8th, 1964.
Dick retired from Bowers envelope Co. in Indianapolis, IN. as plant superintendent in 1999, to start the envelope department at Sunrise Publications, in Bloomington, IN. where he remained as a consultant until 2005. Dick was the Vice President of Archer's Spot and Pro Shop Inc. from 1995-2016 where he specialized in crafting and tuning custom arrows for local hunters and target shooters. Dick was a proud 56-year member of Solsberry Masonic Lodge #411 F&AM, 50-year member of Indianapolis Valley of the Scottish Rite, and 50-year member of Murat Shrine, Indianapolis. He loved old cars, old school hotrods, and old tractors. Dick was an avid Bowler, loved hunting and fishing with his brothers, and in later life he preferred sitting on the porch drinking coffee with Roe, and mowing the grass.

Dick is survived by his wife Rohenia Colvin, Richard "Hardy" Colvin (Cindy), James Cochran, Richard "Tom" Colvin (Carolyn), Julie Beck (Rick), Kimberly Arcos (Dr. George Arcos) Sheila Cochran.
Brother: John Colvin (Lori) sisters: Judith Colvin Simpson, Catherine Colvin Steininger.
Grandchildren: James Cochran, Stephanie Bordenkecher, Chelsea Beck, Derek Beck, Chasady Collins, Mark Collins, Eva Colvin, Dr. Nicholas Arcos
Great grandchildren: James, Lucy, Delilah, Jack, Lexi, Morgan, Cassandra, Alexander, Christian, Brooklyn, Peyton.
Great-Great grandchildren: Tevian, Arlow, Nova, Nyomi, Carter, Riley.
Numerous nieces and nephews.

Dick was preceded in death by his parents, Wells O. Colvin & Eva M. Colvin

Viewing will be at Jenkins funeral home in Bloomfield, IN. from 11 A.M. to 2 P.M. on Saturday August 9, 2025, Masonic services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. with funeral services to follow. Burial will follow at Walnut grove Cemetery. Pastor James D. Ramey will be officiating the services.
