Rex A. Watkins, 73, of Boerne, Texas, passed away at 5:45 a.m. Sunday, March 20, 2011 at Jackson Hospital in Montgomery, Alabama.
Born February 18, 1938 in Solsberry, he was the son of Ralph and Anna E. (Cox) Watkins.
He was a manager at an RV park in Boerne, Texas. He was a master mechanic, an avid hunter and loved his RV and traveling.
Surviving relatives include: his daughter, Jodi Allen of Pipe Creek, Texas; one son, Charles Rex Watkins of Knoxville, Tennessee; five sisters, Marie Boruff of Stanford, Jessie Padgett of Bloomfield, Elizabeth Michael of Spencer, Mary Bowers-Shultz of Ellettsville, and Sharon Porter of Bloomfield; two grandchildren and two great, grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Paul Eugene Watkins, a sister, Anita Lynn Watkins, and his parents.
Public visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, March 28, 2011 at Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home in Bloomfield. No services are planned.
