Reed Somers Wilkinson, 75, of Bloomfield, passed away on Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at his residence.

Born July 9, 1949 in Indianapolis, Indiana, he was the son of Richard J. and Vivian L. (Somers) Wilkinson.

Reed was a sign painter for Northway Sign Company in Indianapolis, the company his parents owned and operated. He served his country in the United States Navy. He was a first responder for the Highland Township Fire Department. He was a member and past Commander of the Bloomfield American Legion Post 196 where he also was on funeral detail.

Surviving relatives include: his wife, Cindy Wilkinson whom he married June 18, 1983; two step daughters, Sonja Lynn Keel and Veronica Dawn Ellis; one brother, Jan Wilkinson; seven step grandchildren, thirteen step great, grandchildren and one step great grandchild on the way.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one step great granddaughter, Natasha Kaa Tresner and a grandson-in-law, Jason Michael Williams.

There will be no public visitation or funeral services. Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield is in charge of arrangements.
