Raymond Russell Rigney

Raymond Russell Rigney, 76, of Solsberry, passed away on Friday, September 11, 2026 at Eskenazi Health in Indianapolis.

Born March 28, 1950 in Anderson, Indiana, he was the son of Edward Raymond and Elizabeth Cora (Berry) Rigney.

Raymond worked for local union #692 plaster and cement masons. He served his country in the Vietnam war with the United States Army.

Surviving relatives include: his children, Scott Rigney, Melissa Phillips and Matthew Rigney (Sara); two grandchildren, Emma Rigney and Connor Rigney; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Lakes, ½ brother, Bobby Rigney and his parents.

Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 15, 2026 at Liberty Cemetery in Hendricksville, with Justin Johnston officiating. Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield is in charge of arrangements.

The family asks that all memorial contributions be made to the Liberty Church of Christ Cemetery Fund.
