Phyllis Jean Everett, 82, of Lyons, passed away at 2:49 p.m. on Sunday, December 14, 2014 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes.
Born February 9, 1932 in Knox County, she was the daughter of Ranza and Ruth Beatrice (Harrell) Bateman.
She was a homemaker.
Surviving relatives include: one daughter, Peggy Cox of Bloomfield; one son, David Everett (Suzanne) of Bloomfield; her grandchildren, Nate Farmer (Leah) of Bloomfield, Nancy Denault (Mickey) of Opp, Alabama, Jennifer Fautless (Andrew) of Bloomfield and Doug Everett (Lindsey) of Worthington; ten great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Myron Charles Everett on October 8, 2013, two brothers, Ranza Bateman Jr. and Leon Bateman, one sister, Barbara Cook and her parents.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield, with Rev. Arlen Pope officiating. Interment will follow in Prairie Chapel Cemetery in rural Lyons.
Public visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
