Paul Quiel, 69, of Bloomfield, passed away on Tuesday, February 10, 2026 at Glenburn Home in Linton.

Born April 27, 1956, in St. Louis, Missouri, he was the son of Robert and Jane (Aubertin) Quiel. He was a graduate of Washington University of St. Louis.

Paul was self-employed in structural steel engineering. He was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in St. Louis, Missouri and attended the Bloomfield Methodist Church. He enjoyed scuba diving and was a certified instructor with PADI. He was a travel and sales consultant for Southern Indiana Scuba.

Surviving relatives include: his wife, Marylou (Wade) Quiel whom he married November 9, 1991; two stepdaughters, Kim (Danny) Todd and Lori (Scott) Thombleson; his step grandchildren, Jared Myers, Ashley McCormick and Nikkole Penix; one sister, Theresa (Larry) Bellizi; and several cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 13, 2026 at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield. Interment will follow in Grandview cemetery in Bloomfield, Indiana.

Public visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday and 1 hour prior to services on Friday at the funeral home.

The family asks that all memorial contributions be made to the Greene County Humane Society.
