Patsy (Pat) Ann Yoho, 93, of Solsberry, passed away peacefully at her residence surrounded by her family on Wednesday, January 29, 2025.
Born April 9, 1931, in Bloomfield, Indiana, the daughter of Homer "Hook" and Nettie (Nation) Street. Patsy boasted with pride about being a "south-ender" and member of the Bloomfield High School class of 1949.
Pat has been successful in many endeavors throughout her life. She began her career as a co-owner of Dutch's Café, alongside her husband, Lavon. She worked as a Teller at First National Bank in Bloomington, Indiana, for twenty years. Pat was the manager of Bloomfield License Branch for over three decades.
Pat served as a Greene County Republican Party Vice-Chairman and a precinct committeeman for many years. In 1974, Pat was selected to run on the state Republican ticket for Clerk of Courts. She also served in the highest offices for the State Republican Federation of Women, where she was honored with serving as both President and Vice-President of the organization. For 15 years, she took pride in serving as President of a Greene County special needs organization. As a member of the Solsberry United Methodist Church, it was her suggestion to name their service organization, "The Willing Workers," a name that remains today.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Lavon Yoho; son, David Yoho; great-granddaughter, Grace Gallion; parents, Homer and Nettie Street; siblings, Ruth (Harvey) Lucas, James (Cornelia) Street, Katherine (Wayne) English, Charles (Reba) Street, and Lula Mae (Walter) Wilson; and in-laws of the Yoho Family.
Surviving relatives include her children, Pam Yoho and Jay (Sandi) Yoho; her grandchildren, Heather Perkins, Micah (Chuck) Gallion, J.T. (Samantha) Yoho, Trevor (Jaelynn) Yoho; her great-grandchildren, Baylee and Brynlee Perkins, Hope Gallion, Cooper, Tucker, and Skylar Yoho. She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 P.M. on Friday and 9:30 A.M. on Saturday until the hour of service, all at Jenkins Funeral Home.
Services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Saturday February 1, 2025 at Jenkins Funeral Home with Pastor Rob Martindale officiating. Burial will follow at Solsberry Cemetery.
Per Pat's request, in lieu of flowers, she wishes all memorial contributions be made to Solsberry Community Church or Willing Workers of Solsberry Community Church.
