Norma Gail (Gideon) Guthrie, 89, of Linton, passed away at 7:35 p.m. on Sunday, June 4, 2017 at Glenburn Home.

Born July 1, 1927 in West Union, Illinois, she was the daughter of Lindsey and Sylvia (Switzer) Gideon.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Newberry United Methodist Church.

Surviving relatives include: her children, Karen Guthrie of Terre Haute, Diane Plano of Sandborn, Pamela Ball of Linton and Mary Ball of Bloomfield; nine grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and two great, great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John D. Guthrie on January 20, 2005, two sisters, three brothers and her parents.

Memorial Services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at the Newberry United Methodist Church, with Rev. Peggy Haywood officiating. Interment will follow in Prairie Chapel cemetery in rural Lyons.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the church.

The family asks that all memorial contributions be made to the Newberry United Methodist Church.
