Nancy Arlene Doane's Obituary
Nancy Arlene Doane 85, of Solsberry, passed away at 8:40 p.m. on Friday, May 29, 2026 at IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
Born June 7, 1940 in Bloomfield, she was the daughter of Clyde and Marguerite (Flater) Hosteter.
She worked as a secretary for Public Service, worked at H & R Block, Hudson's Excavating and owned her own craft shop from her home called Gooseberry Lane. She was a member of the Eastern Fire Department Women's Auxiliary and attended Greene County Chapel Church.
Surviving relatives include: one son, Greg Doane and a granddaughter, Brigit Emerick.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Doane on October 22, 2009, one daughter, Kelly Emerick, one brother, David Hosteter, three sisters, Lorene, Norma and Linda and her parents.
There will be no public visitation or funeral services. Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield is in charge of arrangements.
