Michael J. Parks, age 27, passed away Wednesday June 10, 2009 in Portage, Indiana.
Michael was employed as a contractor for Rogers and Sons and was a current student of IVY Tech Community College. Michael enjoyed playing his guitar, shooting pool and playing video games.Michael was loved by his family and friends and will be dearly missed.
Michael is survived by his son Mason Parks, mother Robin Farren, Step-Father Kenneth Farren, sister Dawn (Homer) Abrams, grandparents Henry (Ilene) Moore all of Bloomfield, Indiana. Grandparents Genoa Smith, Richard Kalina of Portage, In., and Manuel Parks of Kentucky. Nieces Kaitlyn and Zyleigh Abrams and Nephews Gage and Clayton Abrams and other Loving family members and friends.
Michael was preceded in death by his father Lonnie Parks, brother Alen Jaeger Jr. and Grandmother Juanita Moore.
Friends may call from 2 to 6 PM on Sunday at Rees Funeral Home in Portage, In. and 4 to 8 P.M. on Monday June 15, 2009 and 11 A.M. Tuesday until the hour of service at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield.
Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday June 16, 2009 at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield. Burial will follow at Prairie Chapel Cemetery in Lyons.
