Michael LeRoy Bond, 75, of Bloomfield, passed away on Monday, February 5, 2024 at Greene County General Hospital in Linton.

Born December 16, 1948 in Waverly, Iowa, he was the son of Arthur L and Alice R. (Bergman) Bond.

Mike retired as a truck driver from Wetterau Foods and also worked as a Foreman for the Greene County Highway Department.

Surviving relatives include: his wife, Eileen (Campbell) Bond whom he married March 11, 1967; his children, Cheryl Bennett (Charlie), Bill Bond (Elaine) and Darrin Bond (Shelly); his grandchildren, Keith Bennett (Haley), Travis Roach (Carman), Justin Bennett (Carrie), Jared Bond, Meaghan Wheelock (Logan), Steven Bond, Austin Bond, Rachael Sargent (Chris) and Lanie Britton (Kyle); seven great grandchildren and a sister, Joyce Elaine Harp (Danny).

He was preceded in death by his brother, William Herman Bond, a sister, Patricia Alice Mathis and his parents.

Funeral services will be conducted at 5:30 pm on Saturday, February 10, 2024 at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield, with Rev. Brian Helms officiating.

Public visitation will be held from 2:00 pm to 5:30 pm on Saturday at the funeral home.

The family asks that all memorial contributions be made to Solsberry Cemetery.
