Mayme Lois Ray, 91, of Solsberry passed away Friday July 29, 2016 at IU Health Bloomington Hospital.
Born October 31, 1924 in Lawrence County, Indiana the daughter of Shirley Lester Baker and Sally Edith (Luellen) Baker.
Mayme was a homemaker, and a member of the Solsberry United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women.
Surviving relatives include her son, William D. Ray of Winston Salem, North Carolina, two Grandchildren, five great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband Virgil Henry Ray on September 30, 1996; one daughter, Virginia Lois Sowders, her sisters, Elsie Mae Ryan and Helen Glover, two brothers, Johnny Baker and Charles Baker, and her parents.
Friends may call from 3 to 7 P.M. on Sunday July 31, 2016 at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield and 9 A.M. Monday until the hour of service at the Solsberry United Methodist Church.
Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Monday August 1, 2016 at the Solsberry United Methodist Church with Pastor Matt Whitacre officiating. Burial will follow at Solsberry Cemetery.
