Maxine Burch, 89, of Bloomfield, passed away at 9:49 a.m. Sunday, December 1, 2013 at IU Health Bloomington Hospital.
Born March 25, 1924 in Monroe County, she was the daughter of Charles O. and Edna (Walters) Sparks.
She was a homemaker and a member of Ridgeport Community Church.
Surviving relatives include: three daughters, Jane Ann Barger of Bloomington, Nancy Brummett of Bloomington and Lynn Pickett (Jeff) of Bloomfield; her grandchildren, Rusty Flake (Monica) of Bloomington, David Barger of Bishop, California, Richie Brummett (Tina) of Solsberry, Brad Brinegar (Jennifer) of Bloomfield and Chris Brinegar (Serena) of Owensburg; thirteen great grandchildren and three great, great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lowell Burch on September 12, 2013, one sister, Oneta Dilley, a brother, Russell Sparks and her parents.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home in Bloomfield, with Rev. Tony Michaels officiating. Interment will follow in Solsberry cemetery.
Public visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday and 1 hour prior to services Wednesday at the funeral home.
The family asks that all memorial contributions be made to the Solsberry cemetery.
