Mary Genevieve (Lenning) Runyon, 58, of Gosport, passed away on Tuesday, August 30, 2022 surrounded by family.

Born October 27, 1963 to Freddie C. and Shirley L. (Goins) Lenning.

Mary attended Eastern Greene High School and lived most of her adult life in Bloomington. She worked many jobs in Monroe County including Tri-North Middle School, MCUM, IU Food Services, PTS, and Sam's Club.
She was a member of Lighthouse Fellowship Church in Gosport, where she also volunteered for the food bank.

Her favorite activities included spending time with her family, needlepoint, reading and computer games.

Mary is survived by her husband of 34 years, Roger Runyon of Gosport; four children, Maria Jewell-Renn (Dave) of Spencer, Freddie Jewell of Bloomington, Tabitha Runyon of Bloomfield and Amber York (Matthew) of Gosport; two brothers, Mike Lenning (Ronessa) of Springville and Chuck Lenning of Dixon, Missouri; one sister/cousin Chris Miller (Terry) of Indianapolis; twelve Grandchildren, Robert and Mark Mullis, Dustin Kettler (Tara), Carolyn Lewis-Shake, Alexia and Will Renn, David and Jerimiah Jewell, Becky, Madelyn, Giddeon and Ezekiel York; and two great grandchildren, Cooper Kettler and Benny Lewis-Shake; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her mother's life partner, Ben Lane and sister-cousin, Karen Ann Goins.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 3, 2022 at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield, with Rev. Jay Temples officiating, interment will follow in Scotland cemetery.

Public visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
