Mary C. Johnson, 93, of Linton passed away at 6 P.M. on Monday July 6, 2009 at the Lyons Health & Living Center.
Mary was born January 7, 1916 in Owen County, Indiana the daughter of John and Captolia (Ross) Haferkamp.
Mary was a seamstress at Crane during WWII, and a member of the Linton United Methodist Church.
Surviving relatives include two sons Gerald D. Johnson and his wife Shirley of La Porte, Indiana; and John G. Johnson and his wife Carolyn of Linton, Indiana. One daughter Earlene H. Johnson of Lyons, Indiana. Companion Bill King of Linton, Indiana. Seven grandchildren Gregory Johnson and his wife Anita, Scott D. Johnson, Risa Ott and her husband Jack, Lyn D. Johnson all of La Porte, Indiana; Loir L. Resler and her husband Tony of Bloomfield, Lisa R. Whitacre and her husband Eric of Manassas, Virginia; and Timoth Joe Johnson of Linton, Indiana. Eleven grandchildren and one sister Joann Hennette of Lyons, Indiana.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband Earl D. Johnson whom she married on December 17, 1936 and he passed away on April 15, 1955. Two sisters Bonnie Harbin and Thelma Loper. Two brothers Wayne Haferkamp and Ross Haferkamp and her parents.
