Martha Jean (Reed) Haywood, 85, of Bloomfield passed away at 4:25 P.M. on Sunday January 9, 2011 at Garden Villa in Bloomington.
She was born November 15, 1925 in Monroe County the daughter of Rufie and Bessie (Long) Reed.
Martha was a homemaker and attended the Furnace Christian Church, the Sylvania Wesleyan Church and the Mineral Ladies Aid.
She will be fondly remembered & missed by a large extended family and many dear friends and her care givers.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Everett Lee Haywood on August 12, 1999; two sons Dennis Ray Haywood in 1947, Darrell Glen Haywood in 1981, one sister Fern Taylor in 2002 and one brother James Reed in 1972.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 P.M. on Wednesday January 12, 2011 and 1 P.M. Thursday until the hour of service at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield.
Services will be at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday January 13, 2011 at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Rev. George Sites officiating. Burial will follow at Flater Cemetery in Bloomfield.
