Tut Carpenter 84, of Ragsdale, passed away on Friday, February 14, 2020 at her residence.
Born September 21, 1935 in Knox County, she was the daughter of Paul and Edna Pearl (Shores) Joslin.
Tut was the Postmaster in Ragsdale. She was a member of the women of the Moose in Linton. She enjoyed spending time with her family especially the grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved dancing, gardening, quilting and horses.
Surviving relatives include: one daughter, Abby Haney (Lonnie) of Bicknell; grandchildren; J.R. Messer (Michael) of Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, Kayla Haney-Goff (Tommy) of Ragsdale and Kasey Polk (Zachary) of Bicknell; her great grandchildren, Joslin Goff (Fidget), Rhylee Polk, Carson Polk and Sloan Polk; siblings, Barbara Williams of Sullivan and P.J. Joslin of Linton, as well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Cindy Messer, two sisters, Patty Horn and Grace Long, her ex husband, Wadess "Red" Carpenter and her parents.
Tut's wishes were to be cremated. Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield is in charge of arrangements.
