Margaret D. "Peg" Harrah, 83, of Bloomfield, passed away at 11:15 a.m. Thursday, October 27, 2011 at her home in Bloomfield.
Born May 19, 1928 in Elkhart, she was the daughter of Walter F. and Nina (Gale) Doll.
Peg was a former partner of Bloomfield Manufacturing and the Founder and Owner of Harrah Realty in Bloomfield. She was a member of the Bloomfield First Presbyterian Church.
Surviving Relatives include: one son, Eric and Tammy Harrah of Bloomfield; one daughter, Diane Elizabeth Harrah of Bloomington; one sister, Dorothy "Dot" Gooch of Pensacola, Florida; her grandchildren, Austin and Alicia Harrah, Lyndal and Jordan Schantz, Whitney and Robbie Hostetter, Philip Waxler and Tristan Loyal; her great-grandchildren, Farrah Kay Hostetter, Penny Margaret Hostetter and Jordan Warner Schantz.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Lyndal Ann Harrah, a sister, Jane Chivers, and Philip Jack Harrah.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 31, 2011 at the Faith Christian Church in Bloomfield, with Rev. Arlen Pope officiating. Interment will follow in Grandview cemetery in Bloomfield.
Friends may call from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home in Bloomfield and 1 hour prior to services Monday at the church.
In Lieu of flowers the family asks that all memorial contributions be made to the Margaret D. Harrah Scholarship fund in care of Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home.
