Lydia Hamilton, 89, of Bloomington formerly of Bloomfield, passed away on Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at her residence.

Born June 28, 1932 in Greene County, she was the daughter of John and Lillian (Flynn) Vest.

She was bookkeeper and sales person for Hamilton TV & Appliance. She attended Arlington United Methodist Church in Bloomington.

Surviving relatives include: two sons, Bill (Jennifer) Hamilton and Jim (Terri) Hamilton both of Bloomfield; one daughter, Brenda (Nick) Keller of Bloomington; seven grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn E. Hamilton on September 26, 2018, her brothers, William "Bill" Vest and Charles "Eddie" Vest and her parents.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 6, 2021 at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield, with Rev. Rose Sparks officiating. Interment will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery in rural Bloomfield.

Public visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.

The family asks that all memorial contributions be made to the Walnut Grove Cemetery.
