Lucille (Nance) Combs, 85, of Rockford Illinois and a former resident of Ottawa Illinois passed away at Amberwood nursing center in Rockford Illinois on March 3, 2006.
Born August 18, 1920 in Pike County Indiana she was the daughter of Roscoe & Elzada (Purl) Nance.
She was a 1937 graduate of Petersburg High School and went on to Lockyear's Business Collage in Evansville Indiana. She Worked for the Indiana State University Library. On March 14, 1941 she married her loving husband Gilbert Stanley Combs at the First United Methodist Church in Vincennes Indiana.
Survivers include 2 daughters Ann & her husband Mark Ziegler of Rockford Illinois, & Nancy Rabago of Las Vegas Nevada. Her grandchildren Le Ayer Collins & Tanae Rabago of Las Vegas, Courtney Ziegler & Ashley Snider of Rockford Illinois, & Josh Ziegler of La Valle, WI.
She was preceded in death by her husband Gilbert Stanley Combs, 2 sons Thomas Marion Combs, & Gilbert Roscoe Combs.
Friends may call from 4 P.M. to 8 P.M. on Tuesday March 7, 2006 & 9 A.M. till the hour Wednesday at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield.
Funeral Services will be at 10 A.M. Wednesday March 8, 2006 at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield. Burial will be at Grandview Cemetery in Bloomfield.
