Louise (Fines) Haywood, 87, of Bloomfield, passed away at 11:08 p.m. Saturday, December 1, 2012 at Lyons Health and Living Center.
Born August 6, 1925 in Mineral to Delphia (Fines) Adams.
She worked for NSWC Crane during the war and later for the Greene County Welfare Department. She was a member of the Bloomfield United Methodist Church, past Worthy Matron of the Bloomfield Order of Eastern Star, Farm Bureau Board and the Home Ec club.
Surviving relatives include: one son, Maurice Haywood of Dallas, Texas; one daughter, Linda Haywood of Terre Haute; two sisters, Sue Pickett and Ruth Rollins both of Newberry; one brother, Robert Adams of Martinsville; a daughter-in-law, Virginia Haywood of Parkersburg, West Virginia; four grandchildren, Abby, Sara, Liana and Kevin; two great, grandchildren, Soraya and Nathan; and many loving nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Delbert Haywood on June 3, 2004, one son, Derald Haywood and her parents.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 6, 2012 at the Bloomfield United Methodist Church, with Rev. Kevin Wrigley officiating. Interment will follow in Walnut Grove cemetery in rural Bloomfield.
Public visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home in Bloomfield and 1 hour prior to services Thursday at the church.
The family asks that all memorial contributions be made to the Bloomfield United Methodist Church.
