Loren Dale Dunn passed away at IU Hospital in Bloomington, Indiana on September 28th, 2024 at 84 years old. Dale was born May 24th, 1940 in Brown County Indiana to parents William Jennings Brian and Tessie May (Brown) Dunn. Dale married Peggy Dunn in September of 1969 and she preceded him in death. Dale worked a few jobs in his long wonderful life such as a Janitor at Shelbyville High School in Shelbyville Indiana, and VTI Industries. His favorite job however was being a farmer. Dale loved camping, fishing, bird watching, nature, his grandchildren and his great grandchildren. He loved being outside working on the yard, tending to the garden, and working with his hands building or fixing things.

Dale is survived by his siblings: Marcella Kay Miles, and Nola Carolyn Hendrickson. He is also survived by his three children: Sue Thurman of Solsberry, Jamie (Melissa) Dunn of Fairland, and Steve Dunn of Ohio. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Jimmie (Jessica) Mercer III, Ashley (Michael) Streib, Alexis (Caleb) Yelverton, Ethan Dunn, Abigail Dunn, and Michael Dunn. He is also survived by 6 great grandchildren.

Dale is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Peggy Dunn, his siblings; William Dunn Jr., Carl Edwards Dunn, Brian Ambro Dunn, Treva May Willis, and Beulah May Miller. He is also preceded in death by his son Morris Dunn and his grandson Grayson Dunn.

Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Monday, October 7, 2024 at the Greene County Chapel Cemetery located at 6079 North Greene County Line Rd. Solsberry, Indiana.
