Lois Marie Pearson, 87, of Bloomfield, passed away Wednesday, June 21, 2023 at Mitchell Manor.

Born October 13, 1935 in Ellettsville, she was the daughter of William Arthur and Helen Veneta (Adams) Whaley.

Lois worked in food service at Indiana University and attended Cornerstone Apostolic Church. She married William Henry Pearson on November 24, 1951.

Surviving relatives include: one son, Henry Leon Pearson; two daughters, Pamela Marie Hutchison (Tom) and Rita Jane Pearson; eight grandchildren, twenty-four great grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren; her sisters, Thelma K. Dalton, Roslie Drake, Ruth Arthur and Linda Pearson; son-in-law, Michael Minniear and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Henry Pearson on August 31, 1992, one son, Roger Dale Pearson, one daughter, Cheryl Minniear, one infant Son, Christopher Dean Pearson, one infant Daughter, Connie Jo Pearson, sisters, Betty Sue Whaley and Mary Ellen Whaley, brothers, Carl Wesley Whaley and Kenneth Ray Whaley, two great grandchildren and her parents.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield, with Rev. Donald Lane officiating. Interment will follow in Tulip Cemetery in rural Bloomfield.

Public visitation will be held from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Tuesday at the funeral home.
