Linda Lee Welch 73, of Bloomfield, passed away Thursday, January 14, 2021 at IU Health Bloomington Hospital.
Born August 9, 1947 in Bloomington, she was the daughter of Robert Lee and Mary Martha (Sanders) Franklin.
Linda did administrative work for Monroe County School District in Ellettsville. She attended Holy Name Catholic Church, belonged to the United Methodist Women and volunteered at the Family Life Center. She was a supporter of S.A.F.E. Animal Shelter.
Surviving relatives include: her children, Mark R. Welch (Linda) of Bloomfield, Cassie D. Welch of Indianapolis and Jodi "Bo" Coe (Cliff) of Richmond, Virginia; one brother, Michael Franklin of Bloomington; one sister, Kathy Franklin of Fernandina Beach, Florida; eight grandchildren, Garrhett Allen, Jordan Allen, James Robbins, Benjamin Coe, Lilah Phillips, Camden Coe, Tate Killebrew and Oliver Coe; and one great grandchild, Maren Turany.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Russell Welch on December 13, 2017 and her parents.
A private Mass of Christian burial is scheduled at Holy Name Catholic Church with Father Simon Natha officiating.
The family asks that all memorial contributions be made to S.A.F.E. Animal Rescue, 1363 S. 1100 W. Linton, Indiana 47441.
