Libby J. Hudson, 63, of Solsberry passed away Tuesday September 21, 2010 at her residence.
She was born April 3, 1947 in Greene County, Indiana the daughter of Billy D. and Beverly (Pullen) Ockerman.
Libby taught High School English for 26 years, she was retired. A member of the Solsberry Christian Church, she loved flowers and always had dirty hands, yellow pollen on her nose and a smile on her face. She battled her disease for nine years, only given six months in 2001, she got to see the birth of three grandchildren. When we wonder why she suffered, look at all the people that were inspired by her dignified and faithful battle.
Surviving relatives include her husband Ron Hudson of Solsberry, Indiana. Two children; William J. Hudson (Heather) of Solsberry, Indiana and Bryan S. Hudson (Charity) of Martinsville, Indiana. Three grandchildren; Reed, Isaac and Andrew, her parents Bill and Beverly Ockerman of Bloomfield. Two brothers Mike Ockerman (Brenda) of Marshall, Illinois and George Ockerman (Debbi) of Bloomfield, Indiana. Father-In-Law Wayne Hudson of Solsberry, Indiana and two nephews Donnie Ockerman and Shawn Ockerman both of Marshall, Illinois.
Libby was preceded in death by her Paternal grandparents Don and Anna Ockerman, Maternal grandparents Don and Louise Pullen and her Mother-In-Law Phyllis Hudson.
Friends may call at the Solsberry Christian Church from 4 to 8 P.M. on Wednesday September 22, 2010 and 9 A.M. until the hour of service Thursday at the church.
Services will be at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday September 23, 2010 at the Solsberry Christian Church with Rev. Don Thie, Jim Weimer, Jeff Carmichael and Jim Inman Jr. officiating, with George Ockerman at Graveside. Burial will follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Bloomfield.
