Lelia Juantia Mottern, 97, of Indianapolis passed away Saturday September 28, 2024 at her daughter's residence in Newberry, Indiana.

Born December 30, 1926 in Elnora, Indiana the daughter of William Zack Phillips and Mabel May (Faith) Phillips.

Lelia was retired from Western Electric; she was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church in Indianapolis. Lelia was an artist; she loved to paint and sketch.

Surviving relatives include her children, Judy Moore of Newberry, Garry D. Mottern and Andrew J. Mottern both of Indianapolis, one sister Virginia Flynn of Shelbyville, she has ten grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Lelia was preceded in death by one son, Daniel Ray Mottern, her siblings, Magaret Baker, Flossie Greenwood, Ervilla Malone, Russell Phillips, Shirley Hummel, Nellie Pearl Sircy, Frederick Phillips and her parents.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 P.M. on Thursday October 3, 2024 at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield and 9 A.M. Friday until the hour of service at the Funeral Home.

Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday October 4, 2024 at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Rev. Nathan Brooks Officiating.
